Where does my portion come from?Royalties are paid to Tremolo by our record company, Flagship Records, on a quarterly basis. The net royalties paid out to us reflect the cost of the record and its ongoing marketing. Because Tremolo produced this record at its own cost and is licensing it to Flagship, quarterly expenses paid out of gross royalties are smaller. The net royalties are a larger percentage of the money you paid for the record, hence more of it goes into the Love > Revenge Fund.

Where does my money go?Once Tremolo receives its quarterly royalties, it will immediately cut a check for exactly 50% of what they made on the record in those three months to the winning organization chosen by visitors to the site.

When [or how often] will checks be cut?Every fiscal quarter. We will be announcing those dates soon on the site.
What if I disagree with another user's cause?
The idea behind this fund is to investigate and champion the passions of the people in this community. That dialogue has two phases:
- You, the members, identify and discuss the causes or organizations you care about, that are overcoming revenge with love;
- The top five of those causes are put to a quarterly vote. It is likely that individuals will have different passions and causes they believe in. The forum administrator will moderate the board for anything deemed hate speech or inappropriate conduct during the nomination and discussion phase. However, the cause awarded funds in a given quarter will be determined by the community.
Can I change my vote?You can suggest all the causes you want. However, we want to know the one area you have the most concern for in this world. We prefer you tell us about that and how you are involved. Tell us how can we get involved. Since checks will only be cut four times a year, we suggest you follow the discussion for a while if you're torn between causes, and make your vote shortly before the tally ends for that quarter. We will be posting quarterly voting deadlines on the site shortly along with the dates checks are to be cut.
Will Tremolo only support organizations or causes it agrees with?This is an open forum. A separate board is being set up to moderate the legitimacy and intentions of the causes suggested. That board will not be comprised of anyone in the band. Quarterly check recipients will be determined by the site voting process, not the decree of Tremolo or an individual band member.
What criteria does an organization/cause have to meet to receive funding?It needs to be non-profit and working in some form of relief or charity.
Will there be any accountability for how awardees use funding?Tremolo will write the check. It is up to those who chose this organization to recommend trustworthy, ethical organizations. The purpose of the oversight board is to provide additional verification beforehand that nominated organizations are worthy and responsible operations.
When/where/how can I find out how much money my voted-for-organization got?That amount will be made public at the end of each quarter.
When/where/how can I find out how my organization used its award?You will need to contact that organization, identifying yourself as a member of the LOVE>REVENGE FUND. We are hoping to build relationships with all the organizations discussed in the forum.

Is my vote a guarantee that organization will get money?No. The members suggest the candidates, but the public votes. An open voting box on the homepage will allow any visitor to the site to vote, once per quarter. Each quarter's candidates will be chosen from the previous quarter's forum suggestions. In other words, all the ideas suggested and discussed in the forum during the fall quarter will be pared down to the 5-6 candidates placed in the voting box for the winter quarter.
How can I donate additional funds to my organization or cause?We are working on a 501(c)(3) non-profit status which would allow for outside donations. Though this is not the purpose of this fund, other groups have shown interest in donating proceeds from their business into this fund. We are working to make that possible. We have been approached by other artists and organizations who want to partner with this fund.
Why are you doing this?It's time has come. This is right. This is rock-and-roll as we see it. Rock has always been about doing things counter-culturally. This is the most counter-cultural thing we can think of, and a theme that resonates throughout our first record, Love is the Greatest Revenge.
Aren't these donations just a shot-in-the-arm that may fail to make a long-term difference?The difference our quarterly donations make depends on the size and scale of the organization you, the voting public, choose. And the 5-6 candidates up for the vote in any given quarter depend on the suggestions made by you, the people who bought are record, you, the fans who join and participate in the forum discussions. The focus here is your "focus," so if short-term versus long-term impact matters to you, discuss it with your fellow forum members and debate which organizations do the best job overcoming love with revenge in short- and long-term. Tremolo is not focused on how much money, or even which organization - but empowering you. Our focus is on stirring and championing the passions of this community, whoever and however many you may be. Benevolence here becomes a forethought, not and afterthought.
